Industry Project. Research Part One
After an unfair sign up method for our second project at uni, inevitably I had to sign up for something that I don’t really like, which is fundamental typography. This project wants us to gather some research about typography basic in four categorise such as : Letter, word, Paragraph and Page. Collected research will be edited in a simple and understandable format into a printed booklet for the art students.
I tend to think that typography fundamental is a very serious area in graphic design, and of course greatly important to understand . However, I found this area quite boring if I’m honest, but I will try my best to learn as much as I can. This is a great opportunity for us to work with the Dalton Maag group and I will make the best of it.
Anyway! as a part of my research for this project, I was asked to gather information about letter anatomy and different types of serifs. After looking through some typography basics books such as : Art of lettering, letter Fountain and Type Form And Function, and a few websites I have narrowed down my research process to an analysed word with simple information.
